Another springtime walk we did recently was at Carberry Hill, which is near Musselburgh. I'd never been through these woodlands before and was amazed by the beauty of it all. There is such a mix of different trees and flowers and fields.
We got really lucky with the sunshine too, and found a little bench spot overlooking the fields to just sit and talk. After we did the main part of the walk which takes you up to the Carberry Hill monument, we walked back down through the bike tracks and then ended up in an area full of giant trees and daffodils, it was so wonderful. For some reason it reminded me of Alice in Wonderland - but I say that about any magical woodland areas haha.
